3 Months of Movies (VI)
/It’s that time of the year again, the time for reflecting upon the movies I’ve watched in the last three months. It was a weird time because it also covers the summer holidays during which I watched a crazy amount of movies at home and at the cinema, but since the holidays are over and school has started I barely watched anything. I’m not sure how this will pan out in the statistics but I remember that I was thinking during summer that I might break a record for watching the most movies in that timespan and now I know this will definitely not be the case. But who cares about records anyway? I only care about statistics.

/Three months have passed again, so it’s time for another survey. And because I’ve been doing this for a year now, it’s also time for one year of “3 Months of Movies” (which actually is not 12 but 15 months of movies, but let’s ignore that for now). So, get ready for many numbers!

/Another three months are up and so it’s time again for reflecting up the movies I watched in this time period. The good news is that this time I actually found time to watch more movies, which makes me happy, especially since I didn’t watch any movie during the holidays for two weeks. Still, my ambition to watch any movie in existence tells me I could have done better! There is always room for more movies. (check the Film List for all movies of those months, from American Graffiti to Gamer)

/Another three months have passed already, so it’s time to take a look at all the movies I watched in that period. Which aren’t that many, unfortunately. Last time, I was frustrated that it was less movies than in the first three months and now it’s even less than that. I hope I’ll have more to look at in April. But I just don’t always have time for movies. Or I use my time for other endeavors (like a fallback to video games recently). Or the amount of movies stresses me because I want to write about all of them and don’t find time for that too. Anyway, I think there will be more movies next time. This time, I’m focusing on all the movies from 21 Jump Street to Kriegerin.

/Another three months have passed since I talked about all the movies I have watched and analyzed them statistically. I have continued watching movies since then and although the number of movies I have watched has declined, there are still enough movies to take another arithmetical look at what this selection of movies is telling us about the state of gender, race and other things in general. As always, you can look at the list to see all the movies I am talking about. This time the survey goes from Non-Stop to The Sessions.

/For about three months I have been watching movies on a regular basis again, after a long hiatus of about 5-7 years. This resurgence in movie-watching was inspired by my year 11 English course students who had to write film reviews. After I read some reviews that made movies I didn’t know sound really interesting, I decided I should start watching them. Well, this evolved into an almost daily movie festival that makes me very happy because I had forgotten (or buried) how much I love movies. Eventually all of this lead to this blog (with some help by Noam Chomsky) because I really wanted to write down the thoughts about Man of Steel or The Wolf of Wall Street that kept me awake at night.
